Connection Issue

I'm pretty sure the flagsh drive won't help. 4Gb in theory is enough. Just. If you lower in game settings and shut down pretty much all non essential services in windows.

Does the game .rpt file give a reason for the kick ?

Can the laptop not take an additional ram module ? Most laptops are upgradeable to a certain extent.

Yeah SJ is right.

Basically, 4GB of RAM is the absolute minimum. You will need to have programs like Google Chrome shut down in the background.

Just so you are aware, RAM is an internal component of the computer. The only way to make it better is to upgrade it. As SJ said, most laptops can be upgraded. If you can get the model name of the laptop I may be able to help you out.

The only thing a USB is good for is additional storage, doesn't help with anything else.

Flash drives CAN be used to speed up some sysytems. As a cache drive. Possibly where you've heard it from. But really only boot times etc. They're no real substitute for RAM.

according to the internets you have "DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz 204-pin"  memory
not sure (yet) if its just 1x 4gb module or 2x 2gb modules
if its 1x 4gb module just buy another 4gb, if its 2x 2gb you need 1x 8gb and get rid of both 2db modules

if you want i can have look with teamviewer to ensure its the listed ram, you can buy it from the link below or any store you prefere

Howto upgrade:

good luck

itwont help, its a laptop and it shares some of the ram to the graphics card, so iam guessing he ends with something around 3,5 or less GB that he can actually use on the system (at least 1GB is consumed by the os), and this imho not enough to handle arma with such many mods
and we had some other guys with just 4gb of ram with the same problem in the past.

Update:
turns out that this laptop has only 1 slot, so he ordered a 8gb module for ~30gbp
