I'm with Benzy, others need to carry the spare belts. Our marksman only carries about 28kg currently so can take at least 150-200 spare rounds.

Ingame it is also about 1.70 kg lighter than the normal version. :)

Which in the default loadout isn't really that helpful. The gimpy should really come with its own personal ammo bearer.
They do. The other 7 blokes in the section.

Wild idea and I know it's not HM Forces doctrine but for our purposes I think the following would work...

4th section MSS with all the heavy weapons are also kitted with Coyotes.

Make it a 9 man section with 3x Coyotes.

That is 3 men to crew each vic with each vic able to carry a section (can you fit 6 in the tail and 2 non crew in the cabin?)

Their job is to transport to a staging area where the troops dismount, they'll hang back with the kit and heavy weapons support. When cannon fodder have finished doing their bit MSS pick them up and move onto the next job.

Command can go in a Jackal/landrover

Allow me 3rd person on the warrior and I'll happily sit there enjoying the view while I take screenies....

His men would follow him anywhere, but only out of curiosity.

Soon we will have more PLT, MSS, FIST, FAC and vehicle crew than marines.

Or more acronyms than marines.

This. My graphics card seems to have taken a sh*t lately on ArmA 3 and it runs horrible. I'd gladly sit at the back and do the occasional transportation\logistics run.

I still think our gimpys are not accurate enough. its usually way more effective in Arma to take a minimi. faster kill, longer suppression, more ammo transported. The added punch of the GMPG in game is nullified by its inaccuracy even in 3 round bursts

That is currently being looked at as part of the next release.

I think suppression is not working well in arma, i can put whole belt around guy and he will still stay prone on ground, thats why i go for one round tap.
