Question to everyone:

Without turning this into an Arma 2 vs Arma 3 debate - if you had to pick a reason, please tell us why you may sometimes prefer Arma 2 over Arma 3.

Technically I dont prefer ArmA 2 over ArmA 3.

The main thing I dislike about ArmA 3 is the entire "future" thing and I prefrer the more to the ground setting of ArmA 2.

There is no war to end all wars.

Can't vote, you should have put in the option where people don't prefer A2.

If you can't vote, then don't vote ;)

I didn't include that as an option as I want people to choose a reason even if they do prefer A3 over A2 - hence "if you had to pick a reason".

I agree with the first post form 'MeFirst' arma 3 seems to be set in the future kinda and i dont know what i hate about future'ish warfare but it really is a turn off for me. Same reason why i stopped playing Call of Duty 4 back in the console days it took the idea of war out of the game and made it into just a shooting game. I also find with arma 2 that i enjoy it alot more because thats where it all started for me in the 'Milsim genre' .

Here's a list of what my positives of A2 are over A3 from my experiences playing both games.
- All of ACE'S features in general
- Countless variants of mission types and features available
- Mod stability
- Mods in general (there is literally every mod you can think of available and working)
- Public server would always seem fun and not repetitive on insurgency (dont know why, but just did)
- Constantly had high solid frames
- Very little issues with mod launching or in game crashing
- Ai seems more intelligent than on A3
- Mission game play felt imersive and realistic.

There are loads of little things that for me make A2 more enjoyable over A3, i dont know what is about A2.. i guess its the fact that everything is there already and works well so we don have to change the way we do things in game because the feature doesnt exist in A3 yet but dont get me wrong i have had good times playing

I do get the feeling this is nearly impossible.

There is no war to end all wars.
