Rather than just assume this is going to end up in Tit for Tat A2 Vs A3 argument as it usually does: I've edited the above comment to add some subjectivity.

I hope this is preferred rather than simply deleting the whole thread again..

I want to agree that all A3 is missing is the wealth of assets we had available late in A2s life, but theres something to the atmosphere of A2 that I feel Im not quite getting out of A3. I prefer 3, and don't touch 2 much at all these days, and I think a lot of it is down to smoothed out infantry controls and it's generally better playability. A lot of it could be down to the fact that 2 was my introduction the community, and our kind of tactical coop in general, but A3 doesn't quite feel as much like home as A2 did.

I do hope this thread doesn't descend into argument though. A3 may slowly be replacing 2, but 2 definitely still has it's place, and will for quite a while here I think. I don't think Howl was trying to get on Benzy's case here, most of us are well aware (and well grown up enough) to not start bickering over which is better. It was always going to be a rough transition for communities who adopted wide-scale play of A3 early, a lot of old regulars were going to stick with A2 for a variety of reasons, but A3 has it's high points as well and gave a good opportunity for new recruits too. It's all a matter of preference.
