I wasn't there so can't comment on the actual incident.
However, mistakes happen and it is only a game, so don't worry too much, plus with your apology I imagine all will be well!

The most important thing I recommend for ALL pilots is not to bring in CAS unless under the direct control of an FAC (unless the server is more or less empty) who should give you:
- target designation
- direction for infil/exfil
- AA threats
- position of nearest friendlies
- battle damage assessment

(Mike will no doubt laugh at my amateur knowledge, but I guess it's not a million miles off!)
