Yep I think that Howl is going to get the system up and running then save for the SSD for video rendering down the line. Makes sense to go with what you can afford now and updrade when the money comes in.

Howl, I completely understand what you explained to me over the weekend - you'll never miss what you've never had - and the SSD will just be equally awesome when you can impliment it

Relax guys, we've got loads of time until it's considered weird.

Doubt he needs 250GB if its just mostly for his OS.

Don't think it is that big of an issue anyway. My current only has 80GB installed and that's quite a lot of programs and OS.

Depends what you run on that SSD, when I get mine I will go for the 250GB since I want to run some games on them as well.

To be Fair anything at 4.5 and above is tasty - so don't panic if it doesn't happily hit 4.8

Howl just remember that these cards need extra power - i.e. you need to plug in an 8 and a 6 Block connector (DIRECTLY TO THE CARD)

It's possible the Hero also has a slot for supplementary PCI power with a 4 pin molex at the bottom of the board, check that's applied too.
