I was, for unrelated reasons, going through AGM's github "Log" and came across a commit (change) that will hopefully make it into the next release:
So, just to make this clear, this has NOT been released yet.
Hopefully coming soon wrote:
Fix #1224: Rewrite Medical
Completely rewrite medical module:
- Move damage handling into non-scheduled environment
- Consolidate treatment functions
- Allow prone treatment
- Allow individualization of module options
- Add alternative pain effect
- Allow unloading of FFV cargo positions
- Custom EHs for unconsiousness etc.
- Add usage of fn_doAnimation
- Synchronize carrying animation
- Make AI scream on hit
- Enable AI unconsciousness
- Fix translation issue in fn_takeItem
- Move fnc_isMedic to Core.
- Change AGM_Unconscious to AGM_isUnconscious
- Rework animations
- Add MEDEVAC option

I don't know when the next release will happen or how buggy the rewrite made things, but this gets me excited!

It also means you have to cap any enemy infantry as you pass by just in case they get up later. Ah, Arma 2 ACE, it has been too long! :D

I've definitely downed the AI at longer ranges and seen them go unconscious. I've also seen them wake up later and get revenge on unaware players moving past them. As for the medical system, I believe you now have to diagnose the patient to know when they have stopped bleeding. The 'bandage' and 'morphine' options no longer grey out.
