Suggestions - Ramdom IEDs


Server / Map: ArmA 3 Public Takistan
Suggestion/Query: IEDs script that seems to work with JIP clients. Adds random IEDs around the map, which target infantry and vehicles. Adjustable range and speed trigger the IEDs. These can also be disarmed.

This script does all the work though. It's random and would generate IED's without any work from player input.

I'm playing around with creating a mission with IEDs in as well but not using MCC though.

Multiple ways to achieve similar effects, all good.
Very nice idea, although remembering Goodson's driving to "avoid IED's" I shudder to think what could happen if we let him behind the wheel again.

Ok so some of you know I've been working with brians200 who wrote this mod/script.

I've been generally pestering him - about lag etc etc and chasing him on the "bucket" issues

So....

He's solved it !

There are buckets, but ONLY the server creates them now, rather than all the players. They are marked hidden globally and locally, but let me know... They also only exist 0 - .5 seconds.
I can promise there will only be 
0-8 for small ieds
5-20 for medium ieds
15-35 for large ieds

I made the smoke plumes move a lot faster. Let me know how that looks.

I also fixed a bug with the shrapnel. Before, all the different IEDs had the same amount of shrapnel because I switched the logic order around without paying attention.
Now, 
small ieds make 100 pieces,
secondaries make 175 pieces,
medium ieds make 200 pieces,
large ieds make 300 pieces.

So the lag came from each player sometimes being able to see other players "buckets" the buckets are used to create markers for particle effects... Imagine 20 players seeing 50 buckets each player... that's a LOT of buckets !!

So now he's toned it down and corrected the locality of the object - so should be MUCH smoother !!

Yep should all be fixed now... IED's are sharp, lag free and pretty awe inspiring now without any of that LAG-GRIND we used to get.
