Why not mess around in the editor ?


Good way to burn time, that's for sure

You can try new maps / mods etc

Read up on mission building. That will keep you distracted. Alternatively, if you find your have time to burn, learn how to mod make. That will make free time a thing of the past. :D

Why not learn to play around with zeus before learning the editor, this means you could zeus in mid week ops.

Try Apollo's excellent tutorial - It should give you a good feel for what is possible. Otherwise, poke me when you see me and I can give you a crash course.

My video there is quite a bit out of date, although some of the Editor stuff is still relevant for those wanting to learn the basics - all the LEA gear loadout parts are obsolete.
The template has been replaced by dom's new template mission and I think I read that he's making/made a video for using it too, so look out for that soon.

If you don't see SJ, I'll also be happy to spend some time with you on TS going over the basics of making a simple mission from which you can expand - we don't need a template to do that.

I wish more joysticks came with force feedback. I'd pay more for something I could get a true feel of.
Arma3 doesn't have FF support afaik :( But yeah, DCS Huey with a forcefeedback stick is AMAZING. It's a shame I'm such a bad pilot xD
