Video recording

Hi guys,

Was just wondering what software people use to record their games? I've been thinking of doing it for a while, and was wondering what's best to use.

Cheers

Shadowplay seems to be the standby option if you have a modern Nvidia card.

Other options exist though.. Try a search as there are a lot of threads for this already....

If you follow jackfrags on youtube he recently put up a video of how he does it. It helped me out quite a bit. Dxtory is quite powerful, but shadowplay is ideal if you on the pub for a few hours and don't want to record the whole thing. If somethin epic happens you can just save the last few minutes

I am using two pieces of software.

Dxtory for the video and the game audio. Should cost about 20€ right now.

I also use Audacity to record my microphone. Setting up several push to talk buttons in the recording software is a pain or simply not possible. So I record my entire microphone with audacity. It also has the positive effect that I can tune the audio from my mic and edit out stuff like coughing etc.

In the end I use Sony Vegas for editing and rendering the video.

Dxtory (for both audio and video recording)
You can set Dxtory to record your microphone on an additional channel and separate the two after the fact. Additionally, you can specify to openly record the mic, or record when you hit your pushtotalk. Relatively simple solution.

Premiere Pro (for editing)
