Unrest in Syria has been steadily increasing, with armed insurgents gaining renewed confidence; increased support from Islamic State added fuel to the already dangerous situation, as the Takistani National Army was not prepared to deal with the threat alone. Finally, the situation came to a head in September 2016 when Takistani insurgences pledged allegiance directly to Islamic State, and made a public threat to assassinate the countries Western backed president and overrun the capital city.
The Takistan president has requested NATO assistance, so 3CB are being deployed to secure the president and escort him to the TNA stronghold at the nearby airbase. ___
