Helicopter first person FOV/zoom issue

I tend to fly the last few seconds of my approaches almost on automatic, so the loss of reference side of things isn't so bad - but the sudden shift in perspective always startles me and instinctively makes me think that something is moving close to me (large amount of movement on the screen = badness), and I have to fight my instinct to pull a hard abort and GTFO :P

So you are saying EVERY helicopter shows the issue? I need a specific example.

You're also not using Trackir?

Can you try it in the Editor in SP?

Can you try without ace running?

I have tested our Merlin and Wildcat, without ace, with Trackir, and see no fov change.

Apollo, it's a vehicle config thing - check this comment from a dev (second in the thread previously linked). Bohemia made a change to try and resolve an issue, and it's had knock-ons.

I can't launch my game client currently, but I definitely experienced it in the Wildcat, and looking at our configs I suspect it may occur in the Merlin but not the Apache. I don't use TrackIR, and I've seen it on the Joint Ops and Public Repo on our servers. Can check further this evening.

Don't worry Nick, I've read all the relevant threads, checked our code and don't think it should occur with our vehicles.
I've even tested and confirmed that there is no problem without ace running on my PC. This is something that you or Snoman needs to DO too before I spend more time looking.
If you see an issue without ace, we will need to drill down further to find the differences.

Just had a chance to check quickly, and can confirm that it doesn't manifest in the Wildcat with just our mods and CBA, OR when ACE is added. However, our repos do seem to manifest it even within the editor. Looks like there's another culprit out there.

Did you also check the Merlin & Apache, Nick, or will you do so sometime later to confirm it's also ok (with just 3cb+cba, then 3cb+cba+ace)?
I'm not sure I was running head_range_plus when I did my ace testing and found no issue, so it could be that. I'll check again if I get time.

Didn't have time to check the Merlin and Apache then, no. May be able to check the permutations later this evening, but stuff it's a bit jumbled currently.
