If you want to be a Stage 3 Marksman/Sharp then it's a L1A1 SLR with a SUIT without any range finding equipment.

Personally I like a gpmg with iron sights and someone next to me with binocs walking my rounds on to target. That, and I am loathed to ever leave my vehicle behind. I'd rather die with my Landie / Jackal than just abandon it in the field. If it is good enough to get you out there, it's your responsibility to get it back to base in one piece!

If my vote counted I'd say it's a good idea to remove them

All feedback is welcome. I believe everyone is in agreement with removing the Apex NVG items - and other Opfor kit - from the Arsenal.

I'd recommend to remove anything that isn't NATO tbh. BAF, US, etc should stay. Other than that, i'd recommend be removed.

That will require a hefty list of classnames of items that need blacklisting from the Arsenal.

@Evrik, I would be happy to sit down and create the list of class names for the weapons, it's not difficult, just time-consuming.

Feel free, mate. It would be a big help to have a complete list of the classnames. You'd need to include weapons and kit from the mods we also currently use - say RHS or Project Opfor for example - if we are to restrict the Opfor / Indfor kit fully.

I believe you can get the classnames - or at least some of them - from the Arsenal itself. Just hover your mouse over the item in the left-hand side menu. It should bring up the name. At least it does in the Virtual Arsenal from the main game menu. Not sure about the one in game from a box.

Thanks!

When I originally created the restricted arsenal lists I organised them by mod, and by type, to make it easier to put in new additions. To pick out a few specific items that shouldn't be there, Evrik's method of going to the Arsenal is good - equip the item, Export your loadout, paste into Notepad to get the class name.

For a new mod that essentially needs all, or most, of it's items adding,  you can use Eliteness to depbo the mod to get at the class names all listed in config.cpp cfgPatches{}. Then just cut and paste them into the black list and modify as required.
