Entrenchment tool overhaul/modification/addition


I like the idea of impromptu dug-in positions but we definitely need a system more complex/time consuming than the thing immediately appearing in front of you. The biggest problem with the entrenchment tool is people making cover during firefights, which is ridiculous. As long as you have something in mind to negate this I'm all for it!

5 minutes per sandbag should be the minimum I'd guess, assuming that you have soft ground (non tarmac), a shovel and empty sand bags in inventory.

I think ideally you'd want a structure that appears in stages, that can be interrupted without having to start from scratch.

Presumably you are planning on getting this implemented in @ace3 to replace their current entrenchment method rather than creating a new mod.

5 mins a bag seems a bit much... probably no more than 2- 3 mins to open fill and fold one closed ? Maybe you need longer if there is no second player close to "hold" the bag ?

Great idea though - anything is better than the current bitsa Ace approach

Would be nice if ACE3 would adjust this thing. Personally I despite the way it works at the moment since it is the magic I can build cover everywhere in a second tool and because of that is is extremely unbalanced.

I would like to see a system that is similar on how we build up our mortar. You would need to get a item aka sandbag that is quite heavy and put it on the ground and then interact with it via ace if you have a tool like a shovel. Then it should take something like 2-3 minutes to build and unbuild it.
