Shouldn't it give some kind of "Terrain!" or "Pull up!" warning rather than altitude if it works that way? It would also be nice if in future it's processed to sound like it was coming through a speaker rather than being a clean recording.

It was a rather late feature with plenty of technical issues that Lifetap managed to smash, and sourcing reasonable and consistent voicework proved to be tricky. Add to that that none of us are sound editors, and I think that it did rather well altogether even if it's not perfect :)

Great work guys.
Broke all the missions I had a Merlin on, but who cares.

Chinooks out, Merlins in, because gorgeous.

Give me a shout if you need any help with audio editing, might as well get some use out of my degree

It's no big hassle to adjust the sounds to make them sound like them come from a speaker. It's pretty easy to do.

For future reference. go to here and use Bridget (UK). Sometimes to get better word results you might need to phonetically spell them and also use full stops to get better tones eg; ''warning. altitude...pull.up. pull.up''. Then take that into Audacity, snip out any spaces between words you think are too big, run it through a high pass filter, add some compression and Bob's yer uncle.
