Operation Copper Mine

Well done to all involved in this weekend's impromptu Op on the public server, "Operation Copper Mine I".

Open to public players, but organised and led by 3 Commando Brigade members, 35-40 marines enjoyed a 2 hour deployment on Bystrica.

Heading out from our northern FOB in vehicle convoy, 3 close combat Sections, close air support, armoured units, sniper/recon and other FSG elements, assaulted and captured three enemy held villages at Objectives 'Bronze', 'Silver' and 'Gold'. At Gold, a surprise (Zeus) counter-attack from the AAF tested everyone to their limits, but no one was found wanting.

Despite the persistent rain, spirits were not dampened, and great coordination and team-work by all involved led to a very successful mission with a lot of fun being had along the way.

If you're not already a member of 3CB and would like to be involved with this sort of thing, our public servers are running 24/7, so come say hello on our Team Speak (voice.3commandobrigade.com) and join in the fun!

Nice jobs lads, sorry I dropped out near the beginning. My computer decided to turn itself off and I couldn't be bothered to load up ArmA again. And Apollo, the image(s) break the design on the Homepage.

Not pictured here are the crew of Zulu, who were abandoned in the field with their vehicle and left to whatever fate awaited them...

That aside, it was a good op. :D

Sounds like a nice little follow up op to save Zulu.

Little bit of info I got from Foxtrot while being FAC.

Foxtrot saved Alphas ass when an enemy got behind them and was just about to fire.

Also, when a GMG/APC opened up on the barn we were in, it felt so intense, it was quite awesome.

You shoot me I'll put you infront of the bullet.

And then Foxtrot scrambled to cover Zulu, while their chopper had fumes in the tank, as them made their way back to base.
