Yep.

Maybe this is what I would have The Siege liked to be.

Remember how good Siege looked in the E3 trailer back when they first showed it though? Not saying Siege is bad, I like it, but like Siege I'll remain sceptical until I see actual gameplay. I hope it's good though, it's a great concept and some of the mechanics they want to implement are really cool.

It never looked "good" to me on the trailer. The trailer was staged (which is altight), but it was staged in such a bad and cheesy way that it was absolutely laughable.

I think the 'plain, boring' part of that is entirely down to the hype. Fallout 4, while not necessarily a bad game and I personally enjoyed it as a fan of the series, had so much hype around it that everyone was expecting this absolute masterpiece which admittedly it isn't.

But I'm gonna jump out of this line of conversation right now because I'll get super heated about the state of the industry at the moment and this isn't the place for it :D

Staging a trailer is alright and I have no general problems with it. But look at this again. :)

When I saw that it was already maximum cringe factor and you instantly knew that this is not how the game will be played. This is what makes it a bad trailer. A trailer obviously needs to be exciting and interesting, but at the same time it must feel believable.

Could have done without the "relatable" comms alright xD . I will admit though, the first time watching it, it did get me interested. Not because of how they were playing it ,as you said it was fairly obvious that that's not how the game would be played. Just the concept itself and the direction they seemed to be taking it. The whole small team games, hostage rescue with destructible environments appealed to me. Didn't really pay much more attention to it until a few months after the game had already come out. You're right though bad trailer.

I guess I kinda meant graphically good in my first point. The final game is quite washed out and bland in comparison. Lighting is all over the place, all immersion with the hostages reacting the situation they're in (i.e to the drones etc) is gone, and we still can't insert via helicopter (UBI if you could get on that, that'd be great). But ubisoft are notorious for downgrading their games. There's a video floating around showing the changes ubisoft make between their trailers and their final products, it's pretty damning.

I'm probably not selling it very well xD But I do recommend ye give it a go next time there's a free weekend or something. Can be good craic with friends :)

Main point! (Sorry I ramble)  Need to see actual gameplay for Ready or Not before it'll grab my attention.
