Its not just he camera perspective, you can physically shoot people you would otherwise not be able to shoot. Your bullets don't leave the end of the barrel, they leave your crosshair like in most other first person shooters. This means you can pull of shots that would otherwise be physically impossible. :)

hmmm never encountered such a behavior tbh,
for me it felt like that the shots come from the barrel (like in arma)

can you remember when you had this problem?
ie: use the first person (right click) or the 3rd person (hold right mouse)?

ill keep an eye on that the next time i play...

It's not a problem, it's a feature. :) 

It actually made me kill one of the two last enemies in the final circle. This works especially well when you are in a prone position, because you can aim much better to something that is in front of you and slightly upwards.
