!PSA! Arma Controller Issue:rotary wing axis ratio !PSA!

First: Apologizes for all who has suffered because of my (mediocre) piloting. Yeah. For real real. (PERKELE!)
It turns out I have been using less than 50% of my capacity to fly, I don't know how long. (Months? year? or more) And the reason I was using less than 50% of range of motion in my cycling and pedals. So in numbers: My warthog axis Y forward 100% = Y axis 50% (or less) forward in ARMA. It has been an issue in a for long time but I finally found it.

Here's how to test and fix it:
First enable advanced flight model and disable auto trim. Then move your cycling to one end of axis and hold it, keep eye on your game cycling in the cockpit. Enable manual trim via action menu or keypress. Release your cycling and move it again to the same direction as in first step. If the cycling stick moves in your ingame cockpit, THA-DAA! you've been ARMA'd.
The fix for me was simple: Rebind all your axis commands and test again. Your controller should be 1:1 ration now. Always check your axis before your flight is advisable.

So this discovery means that I'll spend A LOT of time flying now to regain my level of skill that I used to be. Even the wildcat is now flyable and prior this I was struggling a lot with it. Keep eye on TS and if you see me hosting Open flight session, hop in and I will give you the best ride in ARMA 3.

Finally, I can use my full capacity of rotary wing control.Feels Good man!

Arf, have you checked your fixed wing throttle setup?

Although helicopter controls use the full range of movement on my X45 throttle, this is not the case in aeroplanes, and I don't know how to fix it.
It goes from -100 (0%) to 0 (at 50%), then to +100 (100%). In effect this means my throttle does nothing for half of it's range.

@ Apollo

This is a legacy "feature" of ARMA. 0%-40% airbrake %40-60% idle 60%-100% throttle. Only fix is to use clovepie emulating program with script. (I haven't done this)
Perhaps in jets DLC we will have full range of throttle.

This still doesn't explain why i suck at flying, but it's something else i can certainly blame it on ;)

i'll give this a go later, with the new card i've been keen to jump back into flying rotary.

Just shout if you want a copilot :)
